It's been a busy few months here at Clubsport Garage HQ, as the team have been preparing for the visit of Sam Sheehan from Cinch, who came down to the Essex coast on Friday 13th September 2024 for a video shoot, can you tell we're not superstitious?
The purpose of Sam's and cameraman Jamil's visit was to shoot a tour of the premises for Cinch's YouTube channel, as well as to take our F87 BMW M2 Competition for a spin on the local Essex B-roads for Sam's verdict - it would be rude not to, right?
And we saw this as the perfect opportunity to make some improvements to our facilities to enhance both efficiency and aesthetics to give our customers the best possible service and experience. Whilst we already had a functional foundation here at Clubsport Garage, we knew where we could make things even better, so we got straight to work.
Starting with Stores
Starting with arguably the biggest job on the to-do list - the stores area. Our Stores is the home for all of our lightweight, fast-moving stock and is where your orders are picked and packed on a day-to-day basis. We were nowhere close to maximising the space we had here so we began with fully closing off the entrance to the adjoining machine room to open up the space in which we could shelve products.
After a few rolls of lining paper & a lick of paint, we then built up seven new storage-shelving racks and laid some new flooring. We then quickly realised that we needed three more racks as we were already at capacity! In came three more in as many days and our new-look stores was really taking shape.
Enhancing the Garage
The next job to tackle was the overall appearance of the garage. Whilst we already had a nice space to work with, we knew we could take things up another notch.
So to kick things off we installed a new Clubsport Garage sign, being one of the first things you see sitting proud as you enter the garage. Another feature we were keen to incorporate was more branding, which saw four banners from just a handful of our popular suppliers, and a Motul clock to add a splash of colour to the space. Other tasks that followed included general cleaning and tidying from top to bottom and painting things such as the beams where required.
We're so pleased with the transformation and we're already seeing a huge improvement to efficiency, as well as positive comments from anyone who stops by.
Welcoming Sam & Jamil from Cinch
Fast forward to Friday last week (13/09/24), and we welcome the visit of both Sam and Jamil to Clubsport Garage. Arriving promptly at 10am, we gave the guys a tour of the building and an admire of both the M2 Competition and Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 on display, as well as a natter about anything else with wheels and an engine!
The camera then started rolling, where we showed Sam around the cars, highlighting all upgrades made to find the perfect blend of road and track to create the ultimate Clubsport car. We then left Sam to it as he jumped behind the wheel of our F87 BMW M2 Competition to put it through it's paces.
And we were pleased to hear Sam claim it was "the best BMW he has ever driven" as well as being one of the few cars he'd actually like to own thanks to it's perfect balance to both everyday driving and outright speed.
Eager Anticipation
We eagerly await the video with plenty of excitement, which is due to go live in November on Cinch's official YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe to Cinch's YouTube and socials, but we will of course share the video on our own socials too once it's gone live! We anticipate this to be a fantastic insight in to Clubsport Garage and how we do things here.
We'd like to give a special thank you to everyone who has helped us prepare for the big day - you know who you all are!
