The KMP Tripod Joint Driveshafts are a motorsport-grade upgrade for BMW G8X M2, M3 and M4 models, developed to address common rear driveshaft failures seen in high-load road, track and competition use.

Factory G8X rear driveshafts can become a weak point on cars exposed to high torque, aggressive suspension geometry and repeated heat cycles. Under demanding use, the OEM CV joints can suffer from wear, binding or failure, particularly on track-driven or high-power builds.

KMP replaces the factory CV joint design with a motorsport-grade tripod joint, providing improved durability, lower friction and better serviceability. Each tripod roller uses needle bearings, helping reduce heat build-up and support consistent performance during sustained hard driving.

Unlike sealed OEM CV joint assemblies, the KMP tripod driveshafts are designed to be fully serviceable, allowing them to be disassembled, cleaned, inspected and rebuilt. This makes them ideal for trackday cars, sprint cars, endurance racing and serious high-performance G8X builds.

Please note that KMP left and right differential flanges are required and sold separately. The OEM BMW flanges are not compatible with the tripod joint system.

Damaged Shipments

Returns must be authorised before sending anything back. Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery and returned within 14 days of approval, in unused/uninstalled condition and in original packaging. Some items, including special-order, built-to-order, used, installed, or modified parts, are non-returnable.
