The Evolve S65 VANOS Aluminium Covers, developed in collaboration with MR VANOS, are a precision-engineered replacement for the original brittle plastic covers found on the BMW S65 engine. Over time, the factory covers can crack, loosen, or even break apart — a known failure that can cause catastrophic internal engine damage if plastic fragments enter the oil system.
Evolve’s CNC-machined aluminium solution eliminates this risk entirely, offering a robust and permanent fix for both road and track-driven E9X M3 models.
The Issue – Plastic Failure and Oil Starvation Risks
The OEM S65 VANOS covers are prone to degradation due to heat cycling and age. When these covers fail, fragments can enter the engine’s oil pickup, potentially blocking oil flow and leading to oil starvation or complete engine failure. Unfortunately, BMW does not supply these covers separately — instead offering complete (and expensive) VANOS unit replacements.
The Solution – Precision-Machined Aluminium Replacement
Evolve’s redesigned covers are a true drop-in replacement that retain the full OEM functionality and spring protection of the original design, while eliminating the weakness of the factory plastic. Manufactured from high-grade T6082 aluminium, these covers are anodised in black for heat resistance and corrosion protection.
Unlike alternative products, Evolve’s covers fully enclose the springs, ensuring protection from debris while maintaining OEM fitment.

Important Installation Notice
OEM plastic covers are known to become brittle with age. Please take extreme care during removal to ensure that no broken plastic fragments fall into the engine.
We strongly recommend inspecting the surrounding area and oil galleries before reinstallation.

Import Duties & International Orders
International customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and clearance fees. These are not included in our prices and are outside of our control. Refusal or non-payment of import charges may result in return shipping, handling fees, and customs charges being deducted from any refund.
Damaged Shipments
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery or note the damage with the courier. If damage is discovered after opening, contact us immediately with photos. Do not install damaged items, as installation voids courier claims and return eligibility.
Returns
Returns must be authorised before sending anything back. Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery and returned within 14 days of approval, in unused/uninstalled condition and in original packaging. Some items, including special-order, built-to-order, used, installed, or modified parts, are non-returnable.

Warranty
Most products include a manufacturer’s warranty covering manufacturing defects only. Warranties do not cover wear and tear, improper installation, misuse or neglect, track use, competition or racing environments, labour costs, vehicle damage, downtime, or consequential loss. Warranty outcomes are determined by the manufacturer, not Clubsport Garage. Items must be returned for inspection at the customer’s cost unless agreed otherwise.
Fitment & Installation
Many products are aftermarket components and may require professional installation or minor adjustment. Perfect OEM-level fitment cannot be guaranteed. Professional installation by an experienced workshop is strongly recommended. Installed or used items cannot be returned.
