The do88 Performance Intercooler is a direct-fit cooling upgrade for BMW F20, F30 and F87 models, engineered to improve charge air cooling, airflow and consistency under demanding driving conditions. Designed as a drop-in replacement, it offers a substantial increase in cooling capacity without requiring cutting or permanent modification to the vehicle.

Compared with the BMW M2 OEM intercooler, the do88 unit uses a much larger core with a volume of 15,208cm³, compared with 6,831cm³ for the factory intercooler. This represents a 123% increase in core volume, giving the system significantly greater capacity to manage heat during repeated full-throttle use, spirited road driving, track days or operation in hotter climates.

Airflow and temperature control are also notably improved. Under do88’s tested conditions, airflow increased from 414 CFM to 490 CFM at 0.15 bar pressure drop, while post-intercooler air temperature was reduced from 57°C to 35°C. This 22°C reduction in intake temperature helps the engine maintain more consistent power by reducing heat soak and limiting the performance drop that can occur as charge temperatures rise.

The intercooler is manufactured entirely from aluminium with continuous welds for strength, durability and long-term reliability.
