Product Description

The Powerflex Dual Mount Differential Bracket is a high-performance rear differential support upgrade for compatible BMW F8X M models, including the BMW F87 M2, F87 M2 Competition, F80 M3, F82 M4 and F83 M4 Convertible. Designed to improve rear-end stability under torque loading, it helps address one of the known weaknesses in the factory rear differential mounting arrangement.

From factory, BMW uses a single offset rear differential bush despite the OE tubular subframe having provision for a second mounting position. Under hard launches, sudden throttle changes and repeated on-off throttle inputs, this can allow the differential to twist under load, increasing strain on the bushes and contributing to wheel hop, drivetrain movement and an unsettled or clunky rear end.

The Powerflex bracket is CNC machined from 6082 high-tensile aluminium and is designed to utilise the secondary mounting position on the OE rear subframe. By adding additional support, it helps control differential movement more effectively and provides a more consistent chassis response under acceleration and throttle transitions.

Finished in corrosion-resistant Satin Black anodised aluminium, the bracket is engineered to withstand high torque loads, stress and deflection. It can be used on standard or modified vehicles with either a single OE bush or dual aftermarket bushes, making it a practical upgrade for road, fast road and track-focused F8X builds.

Powerflex recommends combining this bracket with the Powerflex Rear Differential Mounting Bushes, available separately in Purple or Black Series. The bracket is supplied with an M14 bolt and thread locker.
