Eliminate Fuel Starvation on Track and Under High G-Loads

Fuel starvation is a well-known issue on the F8X M3/M4 and F87 M2 platforms, as well as F3X chassis with N55/N20 engines. Under hard cornering — especially right-hand turns — the factory system struggles to supply fuel once the tank drops below half full, causing hesitation, stumbles, and even lean running conditions.

This upgrade, developed from the BMW GTMore programme, adds a second in-tank pump to provide consistent fuel delivery, even at less than a quarter tank, ensuring confidence and reliability in demanding conditions.

Why the Factory System Fails

  • Single pump design – The OE system uses only one main pump on the right-hand side.

  • Weak left-hand pickup – A small suction tube feeds the left-hand side, but during hard right turns fuel sloshes away, leaving it starved.

  • Mid-corner hesitation – With insufficient fuel supply, the main pump draws air, causing stumble or cut-out.

The Clubsport Fix – Dual Pump Solution

Our kit positions a second main pump on the left-hand side of the tank, working in parallel with the original. The result is:

  • Reliable fueling below ¼ tank.

  • No hesitation or stumbling in long or high-G corners.

  • Motorsport-proven reliability, adapted for road and track use.

Installation Notes

  • Accessed via the existing right-hand pump panel (no left-side panel exists).

  • Requires a small frame modification to the OE pump housing (drilling a hole).

  • Minor wiring required – all plugs, connectors, and detailed instructions included.

  • Power is supplied via the fuse panel under the boot floor.

  • Rear seat and side bolsters must be removed for access.

  • Installation recommended with a near-empty fuel tank for safety.
