Product Description
The do88 Performance Charge Pipe is a high-flow reliability upgrade for S58-powered BMW M cars, designed to replace the factory plastic Y-pipe with a stronger cast aluminium alternative. Suitable for BMW G8X M2, M3 and M4 applications, it addresses a known weak point in the original charge air system while improving airflow to support tuned, track-driven and high-output builds.
The OEM BMW charge pipe connects both turbochargers to the throttle body using a Y-shaped plastic assembly. While adequate for standard power levels, the factory pipe can become a restriction and is vulnerable to cracking under increased boost pressure, repeated heat cycles and hard use. Failure can lead to boost leaks, reduced performance or complete charge pipe failure.
do88’s solution uses a durable cast aluminium Y-pipe with CNC-machined turbo and throttle body connections for precise fitment and improved strength. The design also features a larger throttle body disconnect to match the factory diameter, helping reduce restriction through a critical section of the intake tract.
Flow testing shows the do88 charge pipe delivers 960 CFM at 150mbar, compared with 835 CFM for the OEM pipe, resulting in a 15% improvement in airflow. This reduction in restriction helps improve turbocharger efficiency, boost stability and reliability, particularly on vehicles running increased boost pressure.
The pipe also includes two 1/8” NPT ports for methanol injection, boost sensors or other compatible pressure references, with plugs supplied for standard installation. Developed using CFD and real-world testing, this is a practical and well-engineered upgrade for any serious BMW S58 road, track or Clubsport build.

Damaged Shipments
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery or note the damage with the courier. If damage is discovered after opening, contact us immediately with photos. Do not install damaged items, as installation voids courier claims and return eligibility.
Returns
Returns must be authorised before sending anything back. Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery and returned within 14 days of approval, in unused/uninstalled condition and in original packaging. Some items, including special-order, built-to-order, used, installed, or modified parts, are non-returnable.

Fitment & Installation
Many products are aftermarket components and may require professional installation or minor adjustment. Perfect OEM-level fitment cannot be guaranteed. Professional installation by an experienced workshop is strongly recommended. Installed or used items cannot be returned.
