Product Description
The do88 Transmission Cooler is a direct-fit cooling upgrade for BMW G8X M cars fitted with the ZF 8HP automatic transmission. Designed for the G87 M2, G80 M3 and G82 M4 platform, it improves gearbox oil cooling capacity to help maintain consistent shift quality, protect transmission components and support reliable performance under sustained load.
The factory transmission cooling system is capable for standard road use, but tuned cars, repeated hard driving and track sessions can generate significantly more heat. As gearbox temperatures rise, shift consistency can suffer and the risk of limp mode, warning messages or long-term transmission wear increases.
do88 addresses this with a larger, more efficient cooler offering a 71% increase in core volume and a 50% increase in cooling surface area compared with OEM. The upgraded design also increases oil volume by 42%, from 600ml to 850ml, giving the transmission system greater thermal capacity during demanding use.
A dual-pass flow design keeps the transmission fluid inside the cooler for longer, improving heat transfer without increasing oil pressure. Upgraded harmonica-style tubes with internal channels further support efficient oil flow and cooling performance, helping the ZF 8HP transmission operate more consistently during repeated high-load driving.
The cooler is manufactured from aluminium with TIG-welded end tanks for strength, durability and heat dissipation. OEM-style quick-connect fittings allow straightforward installation with no vehicle modifications required, making it a practical upgrade for tuned road cars, track day builds and serious S58 performance applications.

Damaged Shipments
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery or note the damage with the courier. If damage is discovered after opening, contact us immediately with photos. Do not install damaged items, as installation voids courier claims and return eligibility.
Returns
Returns must be authorised before sending anything back. Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery and returned within 14 days of approval, in unused/uninstalled condition and in original packaging. Some items, including special-order, built-to-order, used, installed, or modified parts, are non-returnable.
