Product Description

ARP Connecting Rod Bolts are a highly recommended upgrade for the BMW S65 engine (E90/E92/E93 M3), offering a substantial increase in strength and reliability over the factory hardware. The OE bolts are known to stretch under high RPM and sustained load, especially on track-driven cars. ARP’s ultra-high-tensile fasteners provide far greater clamping force, exceptional fatigue resistance, and consistent performance where it matters most.

Whether replacing rod bearings, rebuilding an engine, or simply carrying out preventative maintenance, ARP rod bolts are considered essential for safeguarding the S65’s bottom end. Manufactured from ARP2000 alloy and engineered to precise tolerances, they deliver the durability and peace of mind required for both spirited road use and demanding track environments.

FAQs

Do I need ARP bolts when replacing rod bearings?
Yes. ARP bolts are strongly recommended during any rod bearing service due to their superior strength and reliability over the OE hardware.

Are these bolts reusable?
ARP rod bolts can be reused if they remain within ARP’s stretch specification. Always measure bolt stretch during installation.

Do they change bearing clearances?
Clamping loads can differ from OEM, so clearances should always be checked during installation by a qualified technician.

Are these suitable for track use?
Yes - ARP bolts are widely used in track and competition S65 engines due to their durability at high RPM.

Is any machining required?
No machining is required, but professional installation is recommended to ensure correct bolt stretch measurement.

Import Duties & International Orders

International customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and clearance fees. These are not included in our prices and are outside of our control. Refusal or non-payment of import charges may result in return shipping, handling fees, and customs charges being deducted from any refund.

Warranty & Disclaimer

Warranty

Most products include a manufacturer’s warranty covering manufacturing defects only. Warranties do not cover wear and tear, improper installation, misuse or neglect, track use, competition or racing environments, labour costs, vehicle damage, downtime, or consequential loss. Warranty outcomes are determined by the manufacturer, not Clubsport Garage. Items must be returned for inspection at the customer’s cost unless agreed otherwise.

Fitment & Installation

Many products are aftermarket components and may require professional installation or minor adjustment. Perfect OEM-level fitment cannot be guaranteed. Professional installation by an experienced workshop is strongly recommended. Installed or used items cannot be returned.

Motorsport Use Disclaimer

Some products are intended for off-road, track, or motorsport use only and may not be legal for road use, for example non-TÜV/DOT-approved parts.
