Product Description
AST 5300 Motorsport coilovers for the BMW E82 135i combine adjustable ride height with separate rebound, low-speed compression and high-speed compression adjustment. The three-way system separates two different aspects of compression response, giving a suspension tuner more scope to develop the setup than a single compression adjuster provides.
Damper design & adjustment: The high-pressure monotube dampers use inverted front struts and external reservoirs. The low-speed and high-speed compression controls are located on the reservoirs, while rebound has its own adjustment. Low-speed and high-speed refer to the movement of the damper, not the road speed of the car. Both compression ranges can therefore be relevant during the same lap or corner, depending on the suspension inputs.
Mounting, supplied equipment & reservoirs: Rebound adjustment governs resistance as the damper returns to extension after compression. Ride-height adjustment acts through the spring platforms, and neither damping control changes the installed spring rate. Springs and camber-adjustable front top mounts are supplied, with rear top-mount provision determined by application. The front mounts add an alignment adjustment independently of the damper settings. Drop links are included with this kit. AST's rebuildable construction allows the dampers to be serviced during their working life. The remote reservoirs require secure positioning and hose routing that remains clear throughout steering and suspension travel. Reservoir mounting brackets are optional accessories rather than part of the standard suspension kit.
Installation & setup: This listing supplies the E82 135i kit under part number RAC-B1601SD. Final ride height, alignment and damper settings should be established as a complete setup. Check clearance using the actual wheel and tyre combination, particularly where wider wheels are fitted; compatibility with the chassis does not guarantee clearance at every ride height.

Returns
Returns must be authorised before sending anything back. Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery and returned within 14 days of approval, in unused/uninstalled condition and in original packaging. Some items, including special-order, built-to-order, used, installed, or modified parts, are non-returnable.
