JQ Werks Madtrace GEN2 Clubsport Steering Wheel System – BMW E-Series

The JQ Werks Madtrace GEN2 Clubsport system replaces the factory steering wheel with a quick-release control hub for the compatible BMW E-Series models listed below. LIN-bus integration retains supported factory steering-wheel functions, with eight programmable buttons and two joystick controls.

The hub combines 6061-T6 aluminium with a 5 mm carbon-fibre face. MadtraceLAB provides button mapping, RGB button-light settings and firmware updates through USB-C. Choose a manual or automatic configuration, with an optional single carbon paddle pair and optional OLED Driver Information Display.

The standard Clubsport system focuses on factory LIN-bus functions. RevLED shift lights and the Podium/Formula advanced CAN-bus functions are not standard. A compatible MOMO wheel rim is optional and is not included in the base system.

Choose your configuration

1. Transmission: select Manual (MT) or Automatic (AT) to match your car, then check the vehicle compatibility list below. Automatic includes the supported automatic/DCT application; a chassis family alone does not guarantee fitment.
2. Paddle shifter: choose No paddles — MT only for a manual car without paddles, or Single paddle pair — MT / AT for a manual or automatic car. A single pair means one paddle per side, two in total. No-paddle configurations are not available for automatic cars. Manual-car paddles operate supported auxiliary functions, not gear changes. Dual paddles and ENP finishes are not Clubsport options.

Optional accessories

OLED display: tick Add OLED Driver Information Display to add the separate screen to your order. It replaces the standard Madtrace horn cap and allows on-wheel settings such as button mapping, profiles and lighting adjustment. Available information depends on the car and connected integration hardware. The OLED display is not included in the base system.

CAN-bus module: the standard system retains supported factory controls through LIN-bus. Tick the application-matched CAN-bus Integration Module for additional supported functions such as lighting, indicators, wipers and traction-control settings. The option shown matches your chassis and transmission. JQ Werks lists over 20 additional functions depending on the chassis, including supported iDrive, M Mode, DriveLogic, setup and exhaust controls. This module does not add Podium RevLED shift lights.

Steering wheel: select one of the pictured MOMO rims, or choose Hub system only — no steering wheel if you already have a compatible rim. Montecarlo is 350 mm with black Alcantara and black stitching; Mod.78 and Mod.88 are 320 mm with black suede. Mod.88 has a flat bottom. A pictured rim is not included unless selected.

Hub system only means no wheel rim

The Clubsport hub system is a complete first-installation package. Selecting Hub system only — no steering wheel omits the wheel rim but retains the vehicle adapter, quick-release base and installation equipment. Clubsport does not use the Formula line’s separate Control Hub Unit Only / Full Complete Kit choice.

What you are ordering

The complete first-installation kit is supplied with its chassis adapter, quick release and installation hardware. Your selected paddle configuration is included. The OLED display, CAN-bus module and wheel rim are separate products added only when selected.

Installation and use

For off-road, track, racing and competition use only. Not for road use. This system removes the factory airbag. JQ Werks requires a six-point racing harness and racing roll-bar; do not use it with factory three-point seat belts.

Follow the JQ Werks installation instructions and have the installation carried out by a suitably experienced technician. Check the supported vehicle functions before ordering; button mapping and firmware updates use MadtraceLAB and USB-C.
