Product Description
The KMP Drivetrain Clubsport Steering Wheel for the BMW E9X series is designed for drivers who want to combine everyday usability with a motorsport-inspired driving experience. Offering full plug-and-play integration of factory controls, it delivers a more focused steering wheel layout while retaining key OEM functionality.
The wheel features 8 illuminated push buttons, each laser-etched for durability and clear visibility. The fixed E9X-specific layout integrates factory-style controls including volume, phone, horn, up/down controls, M-Sport and star/rotate functions, depending on the vehicle’s original specification.
The button configuration includes:
- SW1: Down
- SW2: Up
- SW3: M-Sport*
- SW4: Star/Rotate*
- SW5: Phone
- SW6: Horn
- SW7: Volume +
- SW8: Volume –
*Note: The Star/Rotate button functions vary by model and may be customised through the iDrive system. If the vehicle does not include M-Sport, the M-Sport button will act as the “diamond” button found on the standard wheel.
KMP’s high-tactile carbon fibre magnetic paddles provide a sharper, more precise shift feel, while the illuminated buttons dim in sync with the interior lighting for a premium OEM+ appearance. The wheel is available in suede, Alcantara or leather, with standard yellow 12 o’clock marker and black stitching, plus optional custom finish choices. For added personalisation, drivers can choose custom options such as the 12 o’clock marker, stitching colour and grey alcantara for a small additional cost (£60).
For example on our own steering wheel we choose Grey 9002 Alcantara, BMW M Tri Colour stitching and removed the 12 o'clock marker. Options are subject to availability by KMP.

Designed for easy DIY installation, the kit includes the steering wheel, hub and airbag resistor, with no additional wiring or coding required. Optional upgrades include a TÜV-compliant Crash-Hub and Quick Release with Integrated Deutsch Autosport Connector, while all adapter and boss options retain factory steering column adjustment.

Shipping & Delivery
Dispatch Times
Most stocked items dispatch within 1–2 business days. Some products may have longer lead times due to special ordering, availability, or build times. If your order contains multiple items, they may be shipped together once all items are ready unless otherwise agreed.
UK & International Shipping
We ship worldwide. Transit times vary depending on destination and courier. Tracking details are provided once your order is dispatched.
Import Duties & International Orders
International customers are responsible for all import duties, taxes, and clearance fees. These are not included in our prices and are outside of our control. Refusal or non-payment of import charges may result in return shipping, handling fees, and customs charges being deducted from any refund.
Damaged Shipments
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery or note the damage with the courier. If damage is discovered after opening, contact us immediately with photos. Do not install damaged items, as installation voids courier claims and return eligibility.
Returns
Returns must be authorised before sending anything back. Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery and returned within 14 days of approval, in unused/uninstalled condition and in original packaging. Some items, including special-order, built-to-order, used, installed, or modified parts, are non-returnable.

Warranty & Disclaimer
Warranty
Most products include a manufacturer’s warranty covering manufacturing defects only. Warranties do not cover wear and tear, improper installation, misuse or neglect, track use, competition or racing environments, labour costs, vehicle damage, downtime, or consequential loss. Warranty outcomes are determined by the manufacturer, not Clubsport Garage. Items must be returned for inspection at the customer’s cost unless agreed otherwise.
Fitment & Installation
Many products are aftermarket components and may require professional installation or minor adjustment. Perfect OEM-level fitment cannot be guaranteed. Professional installation by an experienced workshop is strongly recommended. Installed or used items cannot be returned.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with local laws, insurance requirements, and vehicle regulations.
