Product Description
MOTON 2-Way coilovers for the BMW F87 M2 and M2 Competition combine adjustable ride height with independently adjustable rebound and compression damping. The External Reservoir – Rear Coilover configuration is offered, with separate part numbers for the standard M2 and the stated M2 Competition/CS applications.
Damper design & adjustment: The system uses non-inverted monotube dampers. Rebound adjustment controls resistance as the damper extends after compression, while the compression control affects resistance as it shortens. This gives two separate setup controls rather than a single adjustment intended to cover both parts of the damper's movement.
Configuration & supplied equipment: The external-reservoir version places compression adjustment at the reservoir and uses true rear coilovers, with the springs mounted on the rear dampers. Vehicle application determines the kit selection. Springs are supplied with the system. MOTON specifies camber-adjustable front mounts and application-dependent rear mounts, with rebuildable dampers that can be serviced during their working life. Drop links are included with the external-reservoir kits. Reservoir mounting brackets are optional accessories rather than part of the standard kit.
Installation & setup: The reservoir installation should allow access to the adjusters and enough hose clearance throughout steering and suspension movement. Ride height, alignment and wheel clearance should be established together. Where factory Electronic Damper Control is fitted, Clubsport Garage recommends coding out EDC when installing non-electronic coilovers, where supported. A compatible KW EDC cancellation kit provides a separately available hardware alternative; the new dampers remain manually adjusted.
Optional MOTON Air Cup Lift System: MOTON specifies approximately 40mm of temporary front-end lift for compatible installations. The clearance achieved can vary with the vehicle and suspension setup. Select With Air Cup to include the MOTON Pneumatic Air Cup Lift System (part number 90AC-061-A3-022ST) with your selected coilovers. Suitable for MOTON suspension with 22mm damper shafts; confirm installation clearance before ordering. Select Without Air Cup for the coilovers only.

Damaged Shipments
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery or note the damage with the courier. If damage is discovered after opening, contact us immediately with photos. Do not install damaged items, as installation voids courier claims and return eligibility.
Returns
Returns must be authorised before sending anything back. Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery and returned within 14 days of approval, in unused/uninstalled condition and in original packaging. Some items, including special-order, built-to-order, used, installed, or modified parts, are non-returnable.

Warranty
Most products include a manufacturer’s warranty covering manufacturing defects only. Warranties do not cover wear and tear, improper installation, misuse or neglect, track use, competition or racing environments, labour costs, vehicle damage, downtime, or consequential loss. Warranty outcomes are determined by the manufacturer, not Clubsport Garage. Items must be returned for inspection at the customer’s cost unless agreed otherwise.
Fitment & Installation
Many products are aftermarket components and may require professional installation or minor adjustment. Perfect OEM-level fitment cannot be guaranteed. Professional installation by an experienced workshop is strongly recommended. Installed or used items cannot be returned.
