Product Description
MOTON 2-Way coilovers for the BMW G8X M2, M3 and M4 combine adjustable ride height with independently adjustable rebound and compression damping. The External Reservoir – Rear Coilover version is offered, with separate rear-wheel-drive and xDrive applications.
Damper design & adjustment: The non-inverted monotube dampers separate resistance during compression from resistance as the suspension returns to extension. Rebound and compression can therefore be developed independently during setup, rather than being treated as one overall firmness control. Spring-platform adjustment establishes ride height and serves a different purpose from the damping controls.
Configuration & supplied equipment: The external-reservoir configuration places compression adjustment on the reservoir and uses true rear coilovers, carrying each rear spring on its damper. Remote reservoirs need secure positioning, practical adjuster access and hose routing that remains clear through steering and suspension movement. Springs are supplied with the system, with camber-adjustable front top mounts and rear mount provision according to the application. The dampers are rebuildable for servicing during their working life. Drop links are included with the external-reservoir kits. The xDrive external-reservoir kit, M 505 188SD, includes front quick-disconnect couplings. Reservoir mounting brackets are optional accessories.
Installation & setup: For vehicles fitted with factory Electronic Damper Control, Clubsport Garage recommends coding out EDC when fitting non-electronic coilovers, where supported. A compatible KW EDC cancellation kit provides a separately available hardware alternative. Neither approach restores electronic adjustment to the replacement dampers. Select the correct drivetrain and complete ride-height, alignment and wheel-clearance checks during installation before refining the damping settings.
Optional MOTON Air Cup Lift System: MOTON specifies approximately 40mm of temporary front-end lift for compatible installations. The clearance achieved can vary with the vehicle and suspension setup. Select With Air Cup to include the MOTON Pneumatic Air Cup Lift System (part number 90AC-061-A3-022ST) with your selected coilovers. Suitable for MOTON suspension with 22mm damper shafts; confirm installation clearance before ordering. Select Without Air Cup for the coilovers only.

Damaged Shipments
If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please refuse delivery or note the damage with the courier. If damage is discovered after opening, contact us immediately with photos. Do not install damaged items, as installation voids courier claims and return eligibility.
Returns
Returns must be authorised before sending anything back. Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery and returned within 14 days of approval, in unused/uninstalled condition and in original packaging. Some items, including special-order, built-to-order, used, installed, or modified parts, are non-returnable.

Warranty
Most products include a manufacturer’s warranty covering manufacturing defects only. Warranties do not cover wear and tear, improper installation, misuse or neglect, track use, competition or racing environments, labour costs, vehicle damage, downtime, or consequential loss. Warranty outcomes are determined by the manufacturer, not Clubsport Garage. Items must be returned for inspection at the customer’s cost unless agreed otherwise.
Fitment & Installation
Many products are aftermarket components and may require professional installation or minor adjustment. Perfect OEM-level fitment cannot be guaranteed. Professional installation by an experienced workshop is strongly recommended. Installed or used items cannot be returned.
