Compatibility:
This kit is designed for the BMW F87 M2 (non-Competition model) produced between 2016–2018.

Developed from Nitron’s motorsport-derived R3 system, the NTR R1 offers 1-way combined damping adjustment for bump and rebound – delivering precise chassis control in a compact, easy-to-use format.

Key Features of the Nitron NTR R1 Kit

  • Compatibility: BMW F87 M2 (2016–2018)

  • True or Divorced rear spring configuration

  • Choice of spring rates: Fast Road or Track

  • Ultra-low friction internals to minimise fade

  • Titanium and hard-anodised components for durability

  • Lightweight, corrosion-resistant construction

  • Fully serviceable and rebuildable

  • Hand-assembled in the UK to order

Spring Rate Options – Tuned by Nitron for the BMW F87 M2

Each Nitron NTR R1 kit is supplied with carefully selected spring rates and damper lengths, developed through extensive testing on the F87 platform. These setups provide exceptional balance and control for both fast road and focused track use.

Choose from two optimised configurations:

Fast Road Setup

Perfect for responsive road driving with the flexibility for occasional trackdays.

  • Front: 120 N/mm

  • Rear (Divorced): 130 N/mm

  • Rear (True Coilover): 70 N/mm

Track Setup

Offers increased stiffness, sharper response, and reduced body roll under aggressive driving.

  • Front: 140 N/mm

  • Rear (Divorced): 160 N/mm

  • Rear (True Coilover): 90 N/mm

True rear spring rates appear lower due to different mounting ratios and spring positions – overall stiffness is comparable.

Custom Options Available

Custom spring rates, lengths, and damper lengths can be requested for non-standard setups. Contact us before ordering and we’ll coordinate with Nitron to tailor your kit.

True vs Divorced Rear – What’s the Difference?

True Rear Setup

A single coilover unit combining spring and damper – preferred for track-focused builds thanks to lower weight and sharper handling feedback.

Divorced Rear Setup

Maintains the factory-style separate spring and damper layout. Easier to install and ideal for those retaining OEM geometry.

Which Should You Choose?

  • Choose True Rear for maximum performance and tuning flexibility

  • Choose Divorced Rear for a more traditional setup or straightforward install

Race-Bred Engineering for the BMW F87 M2

The NTR R1 shares its internal design with Nitron’s full competition-spec R3 system. With low-friction components and a high-pressure monotube design, it provides consistent, fade-resistant damping in all conditions.

Whether you're hitting the track or carving through your favourite roads, the NTR R1 delivers confident control lap after lap.
