The KMP Drivetrain Clubsport Steering Wheel is designed to combine factory BMW control integration with a motorsport-inspired steering wheel layout for road, fast road and track-focused use.

Which vehicles is this steering wheel compatible with?

It is compatible with BMW F Series models, including BMW F87 M2, F80 M3, F82 M4 and F2X models such as M135i, M235i, M140i and M240i.

Is it suitable for BMW F8X M cars?

Yes. It is suitable for BMW F87 M2, including Competition and CS variants, BMW F80 M3, including Competition and CS variants, and BMW F82 M4, including Competition, CS and GTS variants.

Does it retain factory steering wheel controls?

Yes. The Clubsport steering wheel is designed to integrate factory steering wheel functions directly into the wheel using its fixed button layout.

How many controls does the wheel have?

The wheel includes 10 push buttons and 2 rotary switches with push button functionality.

What functions are included in the fixed layout?

The fixed layout includes functions such as volume, mode, horn, phone, voice control, M1, M2, reset, cruise control, limiter and speed adjustment.

Are the buttons illuminated?

Yes. The push buttons are laser-etched and illuminated, with lighting that dims in sync with the interior lighting.

Does the steering wheel include magnetic paddles?

Yes. The wheel features KMP high-tactile carbon fibre magnetic paddles for precise shift feedback.

Is the steering wheel plug and play?

Yes. The fixed Clubsport layout is plug and play, with no additional wiring or coding required for the standard setup.

Does it include an airbag resistor?

Yes. An airbag resistor is included.

Can the buttons be customised?

The Clubsport models are designed around preselected layouts, but button customisation may be possible. For a fully custom configuration, the KMP Pro-Line Steering Wheel is the better option.

What is the Nürburgring Edition?

The optional Clubsport Nürburgring Edition uses a similar fixed layout but focuses more heavily on racing functions such as push-to-pass flash, wipers and Code 60.

What finish options are available?

Standard finish options include suede, Alcantara or leather, with a yellow 12 o’clock marker and black stitching.

Can I customise the finish?

Yes. Custom options such as 12 o’clock marker changes, stitching colour and grey Alcantara may be available for an additional cost, subject to KMP availability.

What happens on non-M models without M1 and M2 buttons?

On non-M models or vehicles without M1 and M2 buttons, these buttons will still illuminate but will not function. They can be changed to another function for an additional cost.

Are optional accessories available?

Yes. Optional accessories include a TÜV-compatible crash-hub and a quick release with integrated connector.

Does the quick release affect steering column adjustment?

No. All adapter and boss options still retain the factory steering column adjustment.

Is professional installation recommended?

The standard setup is designed to be plug and play, but professional installation is recommended if you are unsure or selecting additional components such as a crash-hub or quick release.
